Permitting

Permitting

Our mission is to obtain the approvals that land developers, builders, and public works agencies need to balance environmental protection and land use goals. Our regulatory staff provides unparalleled guidance on obtaining environmental and cultural resource approvals, as well as direction in navigating the NEPA approval process.

We Help You Wade Through Environmental Regulations

WSSI stays at the forefront of regulatory policy for permitting and water resources. In fact, we’ve been consulted by federal and state regulators on many occasions regarding the technical aspects of projects from other firms. Our extensive experience preparing complete and accurate permit applications results in fewer agency questions during the review process – saving our clients both time and money.

Once a permit is issued, we work with our clients to ensure projects stay in compliance with numerous permit conditions and monitoring requirements during construction.

Arlington County’s MS4 program underwent an audit by the Virginia DEQ. The Ballston wetland was a key inspection stop Tuesday for both the County’s TMDL compliance and floatables requirements. The project received high praise from DEQ for its water quality, habitat and community education benefits. It seems fitting to pass along this high praise to you who have been giving your all to this project for many months now. Thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication to this great project.
